Friday, 12/15

A block: Collected & checked DOAS Act I questions.  Watched early scenes from DOAS movie.  Discussed questions 4 and 11 from packet.  Notes on board.
Homework: Vocab 6 quiz Wednesday.

C block: LOTF ch. 12 due.  One-paragraph quiz about the end of the novel.  Discussed the end of the novel & possible interpretations.
Homework: Vocab 6 quiz Wednesday (no unit 6 hw).

D block: LOTF ch. 11 due.  One-paragraph quiz about last night's reading.  Discussed Piggy's death & its significance - notes on board.  Got together with character groups to talk about allegory & characters' significances. Suggestions/reminders about allegory on board. 
Homework: Read LOTF 12 for Monday.  Vocab 6 quiz Thursday (no unit 6 hw).

E block: DOAS Act I quiz.  Began reading Act II.  Notes on board.  Returned vocab 5 quizzes.
Homework: Vocab 6 quiz Wednesday.
