Friday, 10/13

A block: TGG chapter 2 due.  Checked in to address questions/confusion.  Handed out setting map & added notes.  Reviewed important character traits.
Homework: Read TGG 3 for Monday - reading quiz.

C block: HF chapters 21-23 due.  Continued reviewing significant details - end of Grangerford episode, the entrance of the "king and duke," the quick story of Sherburn.  Research questions - con artists' traits, methods, & targets.  Applied to Huck Finn's "king and duke."
Homework: HF 24-26 due Monday.

D block: Returned quizzes - vocab & Huck Finn.  Discussed the end of HF chapter 18 and chapter 19.  Handout - answered research questions about con artists, their methods and their victims.
Homework: Read HF 20-22 for Monday - reading quiz on 15-22.

E block: TGG chapter 2 due.  Checked in, answered questions/confusion.  Returned to setting map from yesterday and filled in details about characters' locations.  Completed ch. 2 quotation rankings & discussed, w/ a few other details/notes.
Homework: Read TGG 3 for Monday.  Reading quiz.
