Friday, 4/27

G block: Overall recap of Counterculture/background for novel.  Introduced narrator & key characters.  Began reading Cuckoo's Nest, w/ breaks for notes.
Homework: DLA #1 due by tomorrow morning, if not done already.  Vocab 12 quiz Monday.  

A block: Handed out copies of Cuckoo's Nest.  Overall recap of Counterculture/background for novel.  Introduced narrator & key characters.  Began reading Cuckoo's Nest, w/ breaks for notes.
Homework: DLA #1 due by tomorrow morning, if not done already.  Vocab 12 quiz Monday.

C block: Continued yesterday's discussion as a class, based on article about decline of reading.  Remainder of BNW ch. 6 due today - check-in, discussion.   Returned BNW reading quiz.
Homework: DLA #1 due by tomorrow morning, if not done already.  Vocab 12 quiz Monday.  Catcher essay due Wednesday.  

D block: Catcher essays due/collected.  Catcher books collected, too.  Continued working on Julius Caesar - returned to Cassius's lines from yesterday's reading, then continued reading together w/ breaks for explanation/notes.  
Homework: DLA #1 due by tomorrow morning, if not done already.  Vocab 12 quiz Tuesday.
