G block, A block: Quick check-in on Eyes ch. 5-6 - address questions/confusion.  Read critical essay in small groups - "Naming and Power."  Took notes on Hurston's use of symbolic names and relationship between language and power in Eyes. 
Homework: Vocab 9 quiz tomorrow. 

C block: Quick check-in about Catcher ch. 2-3.  Read critical essay about Salinger's use of minor characters & introduced reflection assignment. 
Homework: Vocab 9 quiz tomorrow.  Catcher 4-8 due Tuesday.  Minor character reflection due Wednesday. 

D block: Vocab 9 quiz, then read Catcher independently.
Homework: Catcher ch. 3-7* due Monday (*had left off on page 15, in ch. 2).
