Thursday, 2/8

C block: LOTF rough draft essays due - editing exercise focused on sentence structure/rhythm/flow.  Revised own essays/classmates' essays.
Homework: Final draft due Monday.  Book collection Monday.

D block: Continued poetry unit - handed out packet of questions for anthology poems.  Read first chunk of poems in small groups & answered questions.
Homework: LOTF essay final draft due Monday.  Book return Monday too.

E block: Continued working with DOAS essay drafts.  Handout: revising & improving sentence structure.  Had time to continue self- or peer editing.  Then returned to Tuesday's reading/notes/questions - Harlem Renaissance and Zora Neale Hurston.  Returned vocab 8 quizzes.
Homework: DOAS final  draft essay due tomorrow.  Book collection tomorrow too.

G block: Continued working with DOAS essay drafts.  Handout: revising & improving sentence structure.  Continued self- or peer editing.  Vocab 8 quiz returned.
Homework: DOAS final draft essay due Monday.  Book collection Monday.
