A block: Returned to TGG chapter 6 - quotation rankings. Preview of chapter 7 w/ brief notes on board. Began tonight's homework/reading ch. 7 (long chapter). Returned quizzes - vocab 3 and TGG ch. 4-6.
Homework: Finish TGG 7 for tomorrow.
C block: Handed out & reviewed essay template - tips on structure, content, balance of evidence & analysis through sample intro paragraph and body paragraph. Notes on board.
Homework: Continue essay brainstorm & pre-writing stage. Be prepared for in-class writing & conferences tomorrow through Tuesday.
D block: Compare/contrast of parallel scenes in Huck Finn - returned to illustrations of Huck's chapter 7 escape from Pap, and illustrated Tom's plans in recent chapters for Jim's captivity & escape.
Homework: Finish reading Huck Finn for tomorrow.
E block: TGG chapter 7 due. Checked in - questions/confusion, then worked on review/analytical questions. Began discussing/reviewing as a class (#1-4) - notes on board. Will continue/finish tomorrow.
